DirtyMacDocs surgió en el 2010 como el proyecto de cuatro jóvenes realizadores colombianos interesados en descubrir por medio del cine las realidades invisibles de un país convulsionado. Nos unimos tras la consigna de llegar a geografías remotas, a problemáticas locales de carácter universal, a poblaciones que nunca han tenido la oportunidad de verse representadas en el imaginario de nuestro país. Somos el resultado de nuestra generación, crecimos en una tierra abonada por la violencia y el olvido, nos educamos viendo un cine extranjero que no nos refleja ni nos cuestiona, y ahora vemos un boyante futuro que ha olvidado la inmensa humanidad que sobrevive al margen de los grandes proyectos del estado.
BIO–FILMOGRAPHY
DirtyMacDocs was created in 2010 by four young Colombian filmmakers who wanted to use cinema to discover the invisible realities of a troubled country. We wish to reach distant geographies; expose the issues that affect local communities, issues that are nonetheless universal in character; show people that have never been represented in our country’s imaginary. We belong to a new generation. We grew up in a land of violence and oblivion, we were educated in foreign cinema that does not represent us and does not question us, and we fear the future will forget about the immense portion of humanity that survives outside of the big state funded projects.
